A few exterior photos of the Cuckoo's Nest... this page should change pretty regularly, as most of the big projects that are still pending center around landscaping and finishing the outside.
The lake side of the house... in designing the floorplan, we purposely put all of the non-sleeping rooms at this side of the house to capitalize on the view. We also used the hillside to create a walk-out basement with sliding glass doors. The plan is to someday finish the basement level into a game room, bedroom and additional bathroom.
That hillside, however, also created a huge problem in getting down to the lake... Diana responded by building a staircase. Yep, she built a staircase (with help from Tim, and day's-worth of support from Glenn and Bill.) Who knew Diana was a mason? If anyone asks what Diana did during the summer of 2006, here it is. Nice job, Di!

Our latest landscaping projects, completed in July 2007... the addition of a real stone walkway in front (thanks to Tim and Rube Goldberg for providing us with a much needed - and much appreciated - temporary) and a brick retaining wall out back.
